Advantech Expands the UTC-515 All-in-One Touch Computer for Enhanced Service and Workflow Management

Advantech, Taipei, Taiwan, 17.12.2025 - Advantech is pleased to launch a new addition to their UTC-500 series touch computers – the UTC- 515K, a 15.6-inch all-in-one touch computer with new platform technology and enhanced serviceability. By default, the system is powered by the Intel® Alder Lake-N series N97 processor. Alternatively, an optional Intel® Core™ i3-N305 processor with up to 8 cores is also available. The Intel® Alder Lake-N series N97 processor is one of the best budget-friendly processor options for standard tasks. It’s also optimized for edge and IoT applications, building efficient solutions for a variety of domains, such as visual and transactional retail, education, and various industrial use. 

Enhanced Design with Better Performance and Serviceability

The new system delivers improved performance, enhanced graphics capabilities, advanced memory and I/O features, and an improved user experience compared to previous generations. Also, it features an IP65-rated front bezel and a fanless cooling system enclosed in a rugged aluminum chassis, ensuring reliable 24/7 operation in harsh industrial environments. Its industrial-grade ruggedness makes the UTC-515K an ideal solution for applications such as production line displays, touchscreen displays for warehouse process management, and kitchen display systems. The UTC-515K has an optimized design for easier service and maintenance. By incorporating a separate service door on the back cover, customers can easily swap the SSD/HDD without removing the entire back cover. 

First Direct Bonding Touch Display Module for UTC-500 

Direct bonding is an optical adhesive process that fully laminates the Touch Panel Module (TPM) to the LCD Module (LCM). By eliminating the air gap, it significantly reduces internal reflections, resulting in higher brightness, improved contrast, and enhanced visibility. In addition, direct bonding delivers more precise touch accuracy for a superior user experience.

Multiple M.2 Slots for Flexibility and TPM for Security

The UTC-515K offers a number of versatile M.2 slots for enhanced versatility, including one E-key 2230 slot and two B-key slots (2280 and 3052). This enables the installation of a Wi-Fi or 4G/LTE module in an M.2 slot while simultaneously supporting an M.2 SSD. Users can deploy the system in remote areas and connect it to IoT networks wirelessly without additional electrical installation. UTC-515K delivers a space-efficient solution and integrates a Trusted Platform Module (TPM) hardware chip for secure key storage, ideal for high security use cases like full-disk encryption.

Adaptable to a Wide Variety of Functional Peripherals

The UTC-515K can be equipped with a diverse number of peripherals, including a camera, magnetic stripe reader, NFC/RFID reader, and barcode scanner to augment system functionality. The UTC-515K features an optional dedicated rear I/O cover, which protects connectors and cables, providing a secure, reliable solution adaptable to a wide range of applications.
