NVIS Display

NVIS Displays (Night Vision Imaging System Displays) are industrial monitors for use with night vision devices. An NVIS-compatible display (NVIS Compatible Display) reduces infrared emissions and utilizes a spectrally adapted backlight, ensuring that night vision goggles are not disturbed. Typical features usually include certification according to MIL-STD-3009, a robust construction with IP protection, an extended temperature range, and Dual-Mode functionality for day and night operation. Depending on the version, NVIS monitors are also available as NVIS Touchscreens, enabling direct operation without additional input devices. Unlike simple “Night Mode Displays,” NVIS screens precisely control light emissions, prevent overexposure, and serve as genuine night vision displays that allow glare-free use with night vision devices – even in complete darkness. Typical applications include rescue and special vehicles, aerospace systems, maritime (e.g., on command bridges), military vehicle displays, as well as industrial Low-Light environments, such as in automation or logistics.
