K3832-Q and K3833-Q: Kontron Mini-ITX motherboards with the latest Intel® Core™ i processors of the 12th generation

Kontron, Ismaning, 11/09/2022 - Kontron, a global leader in IoT/Embedded Computing Technology (ECT), is expanding its portfolio of motherboards based on Intel® 12th Generation Core™ i technology. At SPS 2022 in Nuremberg, two compact Mini-ITX motherboards with different feature sets will be showcased. Combined with the extensive scalability from Intel® Celeron® to Core™ i9 CPUs and comprehensive extension options, they are ideal for a wide range of applications in medical technology, industrial automation, casino gaming, visualization, kiosks, retail, and more. The Intel® Q670E chipset offers, in addition to out-of-band remote management (Intel® AMT), features such as RAID; combined with long availability and embedded broad market use conditions.

The motherboards developed and manufactured in Germany are designed for an extended temperature range from 0 °C to +60 °C and are suitable for 24/7 continuous operation. Remote administration and remote maintenance are enabled through iAMT-based out-of-band management functionality (Intel® Active Management Technology). Real-time critical industrial applications are supported by features such as Time Sensitive Networking (TSN) and other chipset-based functionalities. Both motherboards feature dual Intel® LAN (1x 1 GbE / 1x 2.5 GbE) with teaming and TSN support, a PCIe x16 Gen 5 (16 lanes) expansion slot, high-performance USB 3.2 Gen2, an M.2 Key-M and Key-E socket, as well as two DIMM slots for high-performance DDR5 memory.

The motherboard variant K3833-Q mITX with ATX (multi-rail) power supply impresses with four DisplayPorts V1.4a @4k and an embedded DisplayPort eDP V1.4b. First samples will be available starting December 2022.

From March 2023, samples of the K3832-Q mITX with innovative dual power supply will also be available. This includes a classic single 12 V power supply or the efficient and long-anticipated Intel® standard ATX12VO. This variant is equipped with two DisplayPorts V1.4a @4k, dual-channel LVDS, and an eDP V1.4b.
