Kontron K3932-N mITX with Intel® Core™ i3 processors and Intel® N-Series processors (Alder Lake N)

Kontron, Ismaning, 11.07.2023 - Kontron, a global leader in IoT/Embedded Computing Technology (ECT), introduces another mITX motherboard based on powerful Intel® Core™ i3 processors and Intel® N series processors with the latest UHD Gen12 graphics. Featuring a built-in cFAST connector and support for ccTalk, the board is ideal for applications in the Casino Gaming market, such as gaming machines or roulette, as well as Point of Sale systems. The K3932-N mITX was developed and manufactured in Germany. It can be equipped with two different CPUs and is available for at least seven years. Initial samples will be available from September 2023.

The industrial motherboard K3932-N mITX is equipped with up to three DisplayPort V1.4a, an embedded DisplayPort V1.4b (4K), and a dual-channel LVDS (24bit), supporting up to three independent displays with 4K resolution (2x 4K + 1x FHD). The integrated cFAST connector for CompactFlash storage cards with SATA interface enables easy, tool-free swapping of games, especially suited for gaming machines. Additionally, the K3932-N supports the ccTalk protocol for secure transmission of credit and status information to cash management devices such as coin mechanisms in gaming machines.

Furthermore, the motherboard features expansion slots for PCIe and an M.2 socket, as well as numerous other interfaces including GPIO, four COM ports, and four USB 3.2 Gen2 ports. It uses a SODIMM socket for high-performance DDR5 memory up to 32GB. The motherboard is designed for 24/7 operation and an extended temperature range of up to 60 °C.

Depending on the computing power requirements, two versions are available. The N6 variant is equipped with the powerful Intel® Core™ i3 N305 (Octa-Core, 1.0 or 1.8/up to 3.8 GHz @9W or 15W). Another option is the N2 model, which features the quad-core Intel® N97 processor (K3932-N2, 2.0/up to 3.6 GHz @12W).
