Kontron SMARTCASE™ S501 Kit Solution for Mini-STX Motherboards K3921-N and K3921-H

Kontron, Ismaning, 09.11.2023 - Kontron, a globally leading provider of IoT/Embedded Computing Technology (ECT), introduces its latest SMARTCASE™ S501 Mini-Case kit solution. This compact marvel with only 0.87 liters volume is perfectly aligned with the latest Mini-STX motherboards K3921-N and K3921-H, based on Intel® Core™ i3 and Intel® N-Series Processors.

The S501 provides 2 front USB ports (1x USB-C 3.2 Gen1 with Alternate Mode for Power Delivery and DP output), as well as 4x USB 3.2 on the rear, 2x LAN, 1x optional COM, and Kensington Lock support. The chassis can be used in both horizontal and vertical modes and can also be mounted on a wall or via VESA to a monitor. The case can be individually expanded with either of the two motherboards, including active and passive cooling solutions, AC adapters, cables, and expansion cards.

The SMARTCASE™ is fully validated and certified (CE Class B, Industrial Immunity, FCC Class B) and guarantees a minimum availability of 7 years when used with a K3921-N. It is ideally suited for use in semi-industrial and industrial environments, such as in KIOSK, POS/POI, and Digital Signage applications. The case kit solution will be available from Q1/2024.
