Edge-optimized SSDs from Innodisk
Innodisk, Eindhoven, 12/02/2022 - Edge-Servers are typically positioned between the cloud and the edge devices. This allows data processing and storage to occur at the point of generation. It results in better data control and lower costs. Insights are obtained more quickly from the data, enabling faster response measures. Continuous operation is thus possible.
The use of SSDs in edge servers places significant demands on the components. The storage devices require special properties to ensure smooth operation in such demanding environments. Innodisk’s edge-optimized SSDs incorporate core technologies from industrial and server SSDs tailored for edge-server applications. The high-performance solutions for edge computing are available in the form factors 2.5", M.2 (P80), M.2 (P110), and U.2 for edge servers. This allows for very high IOPS (input/output operations per second). They feature high fault tolerance with a high number of write cycles per day (DWPD) and low latency. They are available for standard and extended temperature ranges and include a thermal management system to ensure high security. Custom modifications are also possible according to the manufacturer.
The InnoREC™ 2.0 series 3TV6-P is a 3D solution designed for the surveillance and in-vehicle market. The NAND chips used are industrial-grade 112L 3D TLC, offering robustness, quality, and long lifespan. Long-term support until 2025 is guaranteed, and a global Innodisk team provides worldwide technical support. The RECLine™ 2.0 firmware offers fast and stable speeds without frame loss. Comprehensive data security is ensured through solutions like iCell, iDataGuard, and iPowerGuard.
