Advantech Debuts TREK-50N: An AI-Enabled Rugged AI Computing Solution for Harsh Environments

Advantech, 19.06.2025 - Advantech announces the release of TREK-50N, a next-generation, rugged in-vehicle system designed specifically for AI-driven applications in extreme environments. TREK-50N is featuring the NVIDIA® Jetson Orin™ NX module and native GMSL2 support. TREK-50N delivers a fully integrated AI computing platform designed for system integrators developing autonomous solutions in mining, port logistics, and heavy-duty machinery operations.
Optimized for Real-Time Sensor Fusion
The integration of Jetson Orin NX enables high-performance inference processing for edge AI workloads such as perception and object recognition, allowing for AI sensor fusion that enhances predictive capabilities and further inference processing. The versatile I/O design and native GMSL2 support not only sensor fusion for better blind spot detection and route-planning, but also further expands real-time camera connectivity, critical for applications requiring low-latency, high-bandwidth image streaming. The system’s modular architecture supports flexible expansion via Automotive Ethernet, 4G/5G, and Wi-Fi 6E, streamlining deployment across diverse industrial scenarios.
Purpose-Built for Harsh Edge AI Deployment
TREK-50N is engineered to operate under non-ventilated conditions ranging from -20°C to 70°C, with IP67 ingress protection and validated 5M3 shock (100G/6ms) and vibration (Random 3 Grms) endurance. The device is certified for automotive compliance, including E-Mark, ISO-7637-2, and includes native CAN FD support for in-vehicle communication and diagnostics, along with advanced vehicle power management functions.
Supporting System Integrators in AI Mobility
“TREK-50N is tailored to meet the operational demands of system integrators deploying AI edge systems in harsh environments,” said David Yang, Product Manager, Advantech. “Its design balances rugged reliability with performance-driven modularity, creating a versatile foundation for autonomous and vision-based field applications.” TREK-50N will be commercially available starting June 2025.
