Advantech Expands the UTC-520 All-in-One Touch Computer for Enhanced Service and Workflow Management

Advantech, Taipei, Taiwan, 02.06.2025 - Advantech, a leading service automation solutions provider, is pleased to launch a new addition to their UTC-500 series touch computer – UTC- 520K, a 21.5-inch all-in-one touch computer with new platform technology and enhanced serviceability. By default, the system is powered by the Intel® Alder Lake-N series N97 processor. Alternatively, an optional Intel® Core™ i3-N305 processor with up to 8 cores is also available. The Intel® Alder Lake-N series N97 processor is one of the best budget-friendly options for standard tasks. It’s also optimized for edge and IoT applications, building efficient solutions for various domains, such as visual and transactional retail, education and industrial use. The new system delivers improved performance, higher graphics capability, breakthrough memory & I/O features, and an enhanced user experience compared to prior generations of entry processors. Moreover, it features an IP65-rated front bezel and fanless cooling system housed within rugged aluminum to facilitate reliable 24/7 operation in harsh industrial environments. The industrial ruggedness makes the UTC-520K an ideal solution for industrial-grade applications such as production line displays, touchscreen displays for warehouse process management, and kitchen display systems.

Enhanced Design with Easy Serviceability

The UTC-520K has an enhanced design for easy service and maintenance. By deploying a separate service door on the back cover, customers can easily swap the SSD/HDD without removing the entire back cover. 

A Balance Between Performance and Cost

Equipped with an Intel® Alder Lake-N series N97 processor, the UTC-520K delivers reliable performance and productivity to enable light industrial applications. It also introduces DDR5 memory support for the first time in the UTC-500 series. Supporting multiple OSs - including Windows 11 IoT Enterprise, and Linux Ubuntu - this all-in-one computer is compatible with modern IT infrastructures and diverse ecosystems.

Industrial-Grade Reliability for Harsh Environments 

The UTC-520K employs a fanless cooling design that can withstand harsh ambient conditions and extend the product lifecycle by reducing dust and debris accumulation inside the system. Its IP65-certified front panel protects against water and dust, ensuring reliability in industrial and commercial environments.

Rich M.2 Slots for Flexibility and TPM for Security 

The UTC-520K offers versatile M.2 slots for enhanced flexibility, including one E-key 2230 slot and two B-key slots (2230 and 2280). It enables the installation of Wi-Fi or 4G/LTE module in an M.2 slot and a M.2 SSD at the same time. Users can deploy the system in remote areas and connect it to IoT networks wirelessly without extra electrical installations. It provides a space-saving solution and integrates a trusted platform module (TPM) for secure key storage, ideal for use cases like full-disk encryption.

Adaptable to a Wide Variety of Functional Peripherals

The UTC-520K can be equipped with diverse peripherals, including a camera, magnetic stripe reader, NFC/RFID reader, and barcode scanner to augment system functionality. The UTC-520K features an optional dedicated rear I/O cover, which protects connectors and cables, providing a secure, reliable solution adaptable to a wide range of applications.

Advantech’s UTC-520K all-in-one touch computer is available for order now. The smaller size UTC-510K with a 10.1-inch 16:9 display will also be launched in June.
