Advantech Launches Industrial Wi-Fi 7 Access Point for Mission-Critical Connectivity
Advantech, Taipei, Taiwan, 06.03.2026 - Advantech (TWSE: 2395), a global leader in Edge Computing and IoT automation solutions, today announced the launch of the EKI-6333BE-4GD, its first industrial-grade Wi-Fi 7 Access Point designed to deliver deterministic wireless connectivity for next-generation smart factories, autonomous logistics, and AI-driven industrial environments.
As mobile automation, robotics, and Edge AI applications rapidly expand across industrial environments, reliable wireless infrastructure has become critical for ensuring uninterrupted operations. The EKI-6333BE-4GD addresses these challenges with high-throughput Wi-Fi 7 connectivity, industrial-grade resilience, and advanced network management, enabling enterprises to build secure and scalable wireless infrastructure for mission-critical industrial systems.
Deterministic Wi-Fi 7 Connectivity for Autonomous Industrial Systems
The EKI-6333BE-4GD leverages tri-band Wi-Fi 7, including the new 6 GHz clean spectrum, to deliver ultra-high throughput and deterministic wireless communication in industrial environments. Compared with traditional dual-band 2.4 GHz / 5 GHz networks increasingly affected by congestion and interference, Wi-Fi 7 enables a cleaner spectrum and significantly higher spectral efficiency. With Multi-Link Operation (MLO) across the 2.4 GHz, 5 GHz, and 6 GHz bands, the access point allows devices to transmit data simultaneously across multiple channels, reducing latency and packet loss in demanding applications such as robotics coordination, real-time video analytics, and mobile automation. Preamble Puncturing further improves spectrum efficiency in high-interference environments, ensuring consistent connectivity for bandwidth-intensive workloads.
Industrial-Grade Reliability for 24/7 Operations
Engineered for harsh industrial environments, the EKI-6333BE-4GD features a rugged metal enclosure with passive heat dissipation, supporting operating temperatures from -40 to 75°C. Dual 12 - 48 VDC power inputs provide power redundancy to ensure continuous operation in critical industrial infrastructures. To further enhance network resilience, the access point integrates Self-Healing Mesh technology, allowing network traffic to automatically reroute around failed nodes to maintain connectivity across large industrial sites. Combined with Wireless Redundant monitoring (RSSI/ping), the solution helps minimize downtime and maintain stable wireless communication across factories, warehouses, and logistics centers.
Simplified Network Operations with Industrial Cybersecurity Protection
The EKI-6333BE-4GD includes an integrated Network Management System (NMS) that enables centralized monitoring, real-time network visibility, and proactive anomaly detection. Administrators can perform one-click, site-wide OTA firmware updates, significantly reducing operational complexity when managing distributed industrial networks. Security is also built into the system architecture. The access point complies with IEC 62443 industrial cybersecurity standards and CE RED regulations, while supporting WPA3 authentication and encrypted SNMP communication, ensuring secure data transmission and protection for mission-critical industrial control networks.
EKI-6333BE-4GD Key Advantages
- Deterministic Wi-Fi 7 Performance: Tri-band MLO (2.4/5/6 GHz) and 2×2×2 MU-MIMO deliver up to 5.8 Gbps throughput, while four 2.5G RJ45 ports eliminate backhaul bottlenecks for Edge AI and high-bandwidth video applications.
